WHO WE ARE

The Bennington Community Foundation is an organization that builds strategic relationships to support community betterment and facilitate economic development by being stewards of philanthropic gifts.

OUR PROJECTS

We're the folks who put on the Holiday Lighting Event and volunteer at Bennington Daze. Our work also includes supporting civic improvements, such as the library expansion, Pedestrian Bridge, and more!

OUR MISSION

Formed in 2005, our mission at the Bennington Community Foundation is to build a solid foundation for Bennington's future. Through fundraisers, donations, and gifts we are able to help our community grow.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

SAM
LURVEY

VP of the Foundation, Sam has been a lifelong member and servant of the community. As founder of Bennington's youth football program, Sam's favorite projects include anything that benefits the community's youth.

TIM
CLARK

Tim is the CFO at the Bank of Bennington and President of the Foundation. When he's not crunching numbers, Tim enjoys golfing, spending time with family, and seeing children's faces light up when Santa comes to town.

ADAM

HALL

Adam is an Employee Benefit Consultant for The Olson Group. He's a father of two and enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, golfing, and coaching. Adam is the newest member of the Foundation.

CHRIS ANDERSEN

Chris is President at SunCo and an avid fly fisherman. His favorite Foundation projects include the Blue Jeans and Blazers fundraiser and anything that supports local sports clubs and youth programs, like the Bennington Soccer Club.

CONNIE WICKHAM

Community members know Connie for her generosity and relentless dedication to the community. A Director at one of OPS's educational units, Connie's favorite Foundation project was the library renovation. 

DEE 
CLARK

Although Dee became an official board member in 2019, she's been serving the Bennington community for decades. Dee's selfless volunteerism has contributed to the success of countless community events and projects.

JASON JANSEN

Jason is the Director of Field Operations at MCL Construction and a tenured Foundation board member. He enjoys spending time with family, camping, hunting, and helping out at the annual Blue Jeans and Blazers event.

JEREMY HAVEKOST

An active member of the community, Jeremy can be found coaching cross country, assisting youth groups, serving on the Lion's Club board, and working events at St. John's Lutheran Church. Volunteer of the Year is his favorite Foundation project.

LEOLA
BONGE

In addition to her role on the Foundation, Leola is a member of the Bennington Women's Club and has served on the local, district, state, and national boards. When she's not serving her community, Leola's keeping up with her five ambitious grandchildren.

JOHN A. MENICUCCI, JR.

John is a Corporate Attorney at Union Pacific. A father of four, John's past times include spending time with family, coaching his kids in various sports, and cheering on the Creighton Bluejays. His favorite Foundation event is Santa Claus Comes to Town.

JONI
SCHULTZ

Joni is known for her passion and high energy -- and for the work she does at the annual Blue Jeans and Blazers event. Joni is a Sales District Manager at American Family Insurance and likes to spend her free time with her family boating on the lake.

KATHY HIGGINS

A passionate member of the Foundation for more than 10 years, Kathy is known for her ability to get things done. Most recently, she co-chaired the committee that passed the bond project to build the new middle school and gym.

NANCY NEUMEYER

Nancy is and a long-time member of the Bennington community and an eager member of the Foundation.  She's helped out with Blue Jeans and Blazers, Santa Comes to Town, and the library renovation.

NATALIE

WICKHAM

Natalie creates marketing materials for the Foundation, including the website and event collateral. When she's not at work, you can usually find her on the court coaching volleyball or at home cuddling her Golden Retriever.

DAVE CLARK

Dave Clark founded the Bennington Community Foundation in 2005 and served as President of the board for 14 years. Through his selfless, constant commitment to the betterment of  Bennington, he modeled a life of service and philanthropy for his family, friends, and the greater community. He will be forever remembered for the development of and his dedication to the Bennington Community Foundation. His wife, Dee, joined the board in 2019  and his son, Tim, serves as President.
